Experience
Michael J. Nichols, Principal
Mr. Nichols has been working in the real estate industry since 1983.
His experience includes workouts, investment advice, underwriting,
valuation, lending, portfolio acquisitions, financial structuring, and
overall problem solving.
Mr. Nichols started Nichols Advisory Services in 2001 to provide focused real
estate advice to clients. Prior to this endeavor, he was a senior
manager with KPMG LLP providing real estate consulting services.
Mr. Nichols ran a real estate consulting company from 1991 to 1996
providing real estate investment analysis, valuations, due diligence,
and workout services. From 1988 to 1991, he was with Citicorp Real
Estate focusing on risk analysis, values, and work-outs. Nichols has
also worked as a lender, appraiser, and financial/market analyst.
Mr. Nichols has achieved the Counselors of Real Estate
CRE designation
for advisory accomplishments. He has a BS degree in real estate and
finance from Indiana University.
